We are seeking a capable and experienced Interim Head of Product Development to provide leadership and guidance to our product development team during a parental leave absence. As the Interim Head of Product Development, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product innovation and development, ensuring continuity and excellence in our product initiatives. This temporary role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for delivering outstanding products.

Responsibilities
  • Translate the company goals into actionable product initiatives & projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the product development team, fostering collaboration and ensuring that projects stay on track during the absence of the regular Head of Product Development. 
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as marketing, sales, and operations to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the product development process. 
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and threats and incorporate insights into product development strategies. 
  • Oversee the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. 
  • Champion user-centric design principles and ensure that products deliver exceptional user experiences that drive engagement and satisfaction. 
  • Product marketing: Develop launch plans and go-to-market strategies for major product iterations, collaborating with marketing and sales teams to drive awareness and adoption. 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives and monitor performance data to identify areas for improvement. 
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field; master's degree preferred. 
  • Proven track record of leadership in product development roles, with experience in strategic planning and team management. 
  • Strong understanding of product management methodologies, agile development practices, and user-centered design principles. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact and delivering measurable results. 
  • Strong active listening skills 
  • Strong generalist across all product crafts & able to teach  
  • Ideally familiar with pragmatic institute product management  
  • Early Bird and willing to travel to Berlin
